New Delhi: Spotted at the ongoing Wills India Fashion Week was filmmaker Karan Johar. CNN-IBN quizzed the filmmaker on his fashion ambitions:
Hindol Sengupta: So when will we see you as a designer? You have designed clothes for Shah Rukh Khan.
Karan Johar: I had designed clothes only as a hobby. I will not dare be a part of fashion week. I’m not good enough.
Hindol Sengupta: So we’ll never see Karan Johar the designer at the fashion show?
Karan Johar: I think I’m doing enough in my life right now. I’m producing, directing, writing, and hosting talk show. I don’t want to be a jack-of-all-trades and master-of-none.
Hindol Sengupta: What would you have no one wear on the ramp?
Karan Johar: That’s really hard to say because it is a form of creativity.
Hindol Sengupta: What would you never wear?
Karan Johar: I would not show skin because I don’t have the body. So I wouldn’t wear a sleeveless t-shirt.
Hindol Sengupta: If you were ever to turn designer, who would walk your runway?
Karan Johar: Shah Rukh.
Hindol Sengupta: Who would you walk the runaway for?
Karan Johar: I have walked the runway. But I would like to limit that and not do much of it because I might stumble and fall. So I’m not about to walk the runway unless it’s for a friend.
