Big B, Rajini: No contest, all love

New Delhi: It was a moment when one icon spoke about another. On the eve of Sivaji's release superstar Amitabh Bachchan spoke to CNN-IBN about Rajinikanth and why he considers the Tamil superstar a wonderful human being.

“He is perhaps the most excellent example of what India and life is all about. I mean he comes from a very modest background. He was bus conductor, had a dream and joined Tamil cinema. So, look at the proportions that he has reached and how much he has achieved,” Bachchan said.

Fan frenzy has reached a crescendo across south India and world over with theaters booked months in advance for the release of the film. And according to Bachchan no Indian star has ever witnessed such a fan following.

“His latest film Sivaji is carrying massive reports and the economics of the whole thing is simply incredible. He is a very simple human being but the kind of adulation that is seen for him in our country is remarkable. No Indian star has ever experienced that. So, that speaks a lot because Hindi cinema seemingly is more prominent,” Bachchan said.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth too spoke about the Big B rubbishing all reports of the comparison between the two actors.

“I don’t think we should be compared. He is an emperor and I am only probably a king. He is my inspiration and a role model for me. How can you compare Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth?” the Tamil superstar asked humbly.

Rajinikanth cleared the air on the Big B issue but left some other issues still for the world to guess like a stint in politics.

“I really don’t know about tomorrow but everything is in God’s hands,” Rajinikanth said when asked if he wanted to join politics.
