The 37th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) kicked off amid sun and sand of Goa where Bollywood stars started pouring in early on Thursday.
CNN-IBN Entertainment Editor Rajeev Masand caught up with Riteish Deshmukhafter he enthralled the audiences with his energetic performance representing the Marathi film industry.
Rajeev Masand: You’re looking really nice in pink.
Riteish Deshmukh: Thank you
Rajeev Masand: What was the performance like? Was it of sentimental value to you to do a tribute to Maharashtra?
Riteish Deshmukh: I thank the organisation for getting me to do this.
Rajeev Masand: You’re on a great high. You have been getting good reviews for your film Apna Sapna Money Money. Does that feel good? Comedy seems to have become your niche now.
Riteish Deshmukh: It always feels good to hear nice things about your film and also yourself sometimes. But I don’t know how to react to it when I’m told ‘You’re brilliant as a woman’.
Rajeev Masand: Was your father embarrassed?
Riteish Deshmukh: He didn’t tell me he was. But I’m sure he must have been.
Rajeev Masand: So the next time we’re hoping to see you playing a very good looking man.
Riteish Deshmukh: Definitely.
