IIM admission list may be delayed

New Delhi: India's ace management schools the IIMs may be asked to wait “a working day” before announcing successful admission seekers.

News agency UNI quoted a Human Resource Development Ministry source indicating the same on Wednesday night.

The IIMs are scheduled to declare on April 21 the final list of students admitted for the 2007-08 academic session.

But the Supreme Court today set April 23 to hear a government petition for vacation of an order staying the implementation of 27 per cent reservation for OBC students.

“Delaying the list for a working day would bring us to April 23 - when things may become clearer,” quoted the source as saying.
