Ilayaraja's 'Aasai Nooru Vagai... Vazhvil Nooru Suvai...' from Rajinikanth's 'Adutha Vaarisu' is a hit and an evergreen tune till today. Crooned by Malaysia Vasudevan the number has interesting lyrics backed by peppy tunes.
The music maestro has approached the Madras High Court to ban the usage of this song in a Hindi film, Ram Gopal Verma's 'Department'.
"I have composed music for more than 500 films. 'Department' team approached me asking if they can use this song in their film. I gave them to use permission to use 30 seconds of the tune alone. However the tune has been used throughout the song. I objected this but they haven't responded. Thus, I request a ban for using my tune for this song on the whole", says Ilayaraja.

The music maestro has approached the Madras High Court to ban the usage of this song in a Hindi film \'Department\'.
The Judge has ordered an interim stay on Ilayaraja's tune from being used in the Hindi song for a week.
