Chennai: Dutch national Will Heum who has been arrested by the Chennai police for allegedly uploading child pornography on the Internet claimed that he is being framed.
"It's a forged case. Someone is using my IP Address," he said.
Heum will be in police custody for three days. The police sought his custody to probe charges of online child pornography. Heum's bail plea will be heard on Wednesday. He was arrested on November 7 on an Interpol notice for allegedly posting child pornography on the Internet.
"When the matter is sub-judice I can't speak much about the case. But what I can say is that he has been framed basically," said Heum's lawyer, Ravi Kumar.
Investigations had revealed that Heum was first arrested in 2002. He was accused of sexually assaulting children of an orphanage he used to run in Mahabalipuram. But Heum had managed to get out on bail.
The police will now be interrogating Heum for the next three days until Thursday when his bail plea comes up for hearing.
Heum had managed to get a bail in 2002 in spite of being booked under a non-bailable offence. Will he manage to get away with his crime this time as well? That is the big question which will be answered on Thursday when his bail plea comes up for hearing again.
