I'm glad my kids are safe: SRK

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan and Amar Singh's feud made headlines in the past few weeks with the actor calling the Samajwadi Party General Secretary a darinda (devil), at the Filmfare Awards function recently. The actor was promoting a watch brand in Mumbai, and CNN-IBN caught up with him about the protests outside his house.

Rohit Khilnani: It's always great interviewing Shah Rukh Khan since he has an answer to every question. So you are comfortable giving interviews, right?

Shah Rukh Khan: Yes, I’m good doing interviews.

Rohit Khilnani: You have taken the brand TAG forward, it was a part of Don and Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).

Shah Rukh Khan: Normally, when I endorse something, I do end up having a liking for it. On KBC, it's not a marketing gimmick. I give watches I wear on the days I feel like giving them away.

Rohit Khilnani: You are a family man and there were protests outside your house. Weren’t you scared?

Shah Rukh Khan: It happened a while ago and I've said whatever I had to say about it. I think everyone understands my state of mind. I am not someone who reacts to what people say. It's been years since I realised that I will be spoken about, good, bad or ugly. So if I react to it, I would be spending my whole day on it. Yes, I do react to the safety of my kids. I'm glad they are safe and it's my duty to keep them safe.
