Brett Lee seems to be pretty pleased with the way IPL has worked out. The Mohali team got him up for Rs 3.6 crore and the Australian pace bowling spearhead is all set to play in India. Lee spoke to CNN-IBN’s Nishant Arora about the prospects of turning out for a team that includes the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, S Sreesanth and Kumar Sangakkara.
Brett Lee: I am honoured and I am proud, firstly, just because playing over there. I think Twenty20 cricket - from the spectators point of view, getting the chance to play with different countries - all these gives me a lot of fun and for me to be signed up for the great side - Mohali under (Tom) Moody. We have also got Simon Katich, Sangakkara, (Mahela) Jayawardene. We have got fantastic cricketers. I am looking forward to it.
Nishant Arora: There has been criticisms about the players that on one hand they say that they don't get enough rest and on the other hand, they are keen to play this kind of a format. What do you make of those kinds of criticisms?
Brett Lee: I think, it has come down to knowing your body and maybe ensuring that you are getting enough rest. It is all about balancing things and time-management. If you feel that you can go for few more One-Day matches or the Twenty20 matches, then go for it. Australia team gets what they need.
