New Delhi: Former BJP leader Sanjay Joshi on Monday claimed that he was receiving threat calls. He wrote to Home Minister P Chidambaram and the Delhi Police Commissioner, urging them to investigate the matter.
Sanjay Joshi quit the BJP last month citing pressure from Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, whom he often criticised. The two BJP leaders apparently did not see eye to eye. Joshi was removed from the BJP national executive in May on Modi's demand.
Following his resignation from the party, the RSS had expressed keeness to rehabilitate him as general secretary of its affiliate unit, the Bharatiya Itihaas Parishad.
A vociferous Modi detractor, Joshi's resignation was the price the Gujarat Chief Minister extracted from BJP President Nitin Gadkari to attend a party meet in Mumbai last month.
