New Delhi: After CNN-IBN exposed Shankar Baba - who uses a sword as a surgical instrument - the Bihar administration has swung into action.
While the government has ordered a probe into the Godman's activities, the Bihar Police are looking to arrest him as soon as possible.

However, it seems that they left it for a bit too late for the baba is now absconding. And the people, the devotees, who used to come to him for treatment are none too happy.
The common man may pity those suffering at the hands of the baba but they themselves don't.
"All these quacks and jholawala babas should be punished. The Government should come up with a law so that they are dealt with seriously and punished severely to ensure that such things dont happen in the country" |
Those gathered who come to him firmly believe that baba-turned-doctor has divine powers to cure and that his blood can beat any medicine in the world.
And this is just the beginning of the horror tale. For those who don't need surgical care, the trauma of watching surgeries being conducted in open air can be equally horrifying.
Patients are made to lie down in front of a crowd with their faces covered while grains are rained down upon their bodies.
Then the baba's juniors take over, dancing with swords around the diseased and 'cutting them up' to cure them. While the dance continues, the people gathered around cheer the baba and his men.
Those suffering can't even cry for their mouths are already stuffed with cloth.
