New Delhi: It is for all to see that Samajwadi Party leaders Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh have been reduced to a powerless position even as the new Cabinet is being constructed in strict secrecy.
Only two days ago, everyone was courting the Fourth Front as a formidable force. Its leaders are today running from pillar to post, looking for some space in the government.
Lalu Prasad Yadav and Ram Vilas Paswan are also stare at political isolation.
SP leader Amar Singh said, “We are the country's third largest party and we are quite happy without being in power.”
Amar Singh could also be in trouble within his party. His rival, Azam Khan, dramatically announced his resignation from all party posts. That has forced Amar Singh to suddenly remember and repeat that Azam Khan is like a brother to him.
