India beat Pakistan to win Kabaddi World Cup title

Ludhiana: India beat arch-rivals Pakistan by nine points to win the Kabaddi World Cup final here on Saturday.

The hosts were just two points (23-21) ahead at half-time, but took the decisive lead as the second-half began.

They eventually defeated their traditional rivals 48-39.

India and Pakistan will jointly host the next edition of the World Cup Kabaddi to foster goodwill, brotherhood and friendship between the two nations, it was announced on Saturday.
