Margao: India held Lebanon to a 2-2 draw in a return match of the World Cup football qualifier at Nehru stadium Fatorda on Tuesday.
India led 1-0 at half-time after they scored through Sunil Chetri in the 29th minute and later Bhaichung Bhutia pumped another goal during injury time. Lebanon's Mohammed Ghattar scored in the 80th and 86th minute.
India, however failed to qualify for the next round as they had lost 1-4 in the away match. Lebanon with an aggregate of 6-3 goal difference will move to the next round.
