New Delhi: Seven more years to go before golf will make its appearance at Rio de Janeiro Olympics 2016.
However, for players like Shiv Kapur and Rashid Khan these seven years seem to be too long a time.
With players like Jeev Milkha Singh – the highest ranked Asian player in golf – India has consistently outperformed other Asian nations in the recent times.
The Olympic recognition of golf has brought the sport in the notice of Sports Ministry also.
According to the Indian Olympic Association, around 30 countries will qualify for 2016 Olympic and India’s current players’ rankings gives some hope of their winning.
