Hollywood actress of Orange County fame Mischa Barton is currently in Hyderabad to shoot for Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain. The actress spoke about the film, her Indian connection and her social work.
CNN-IBN: What sort of social work are you involved with?
Mischa Barton: I've been an ambassador for Save the Children and I've been working with them for quite a while now. I've visited Africa and have wanted to visit India for quite a while now. India is one of the biggest country's they work with. So Africa and India are their main concerns.
CNN-IBN: How much of India have you seen?
Mischa Barton: Unfortunately not much. I've just been to places in Hyderabad and around. I've also been to south Goa when I went for 5 days of vacation. Its been an amazing experience and I think India is truly a beautiful country.
CNN-IBN: How has the experience been working with an Indian crew?
Mischa Barton: It's very different. They are used to Bollywood here and this is a serious film about Bhopal and its got Martin Sheen.
CNN-IBN: What prompted you to sign for the film?
Mischa Barton: I'm interested in all kinds of things, I did this film for moral reasons. Also, I felt the story needed to be told, I feel that this is going to be an important film.
