New Delhi: Despite not playing a single international in both September and October, India’s FIFA ranking has improved by three places.
According to the November rankings, India are placed joint 135th along with Africa’s Equatorial Guinea and Asia's Myanmar.
The senior team is currently having a national camp in Goa and may play a friendly in December.
Since an Under-23 squad will be taking part in December’s SAFF Cup, the results of that tournament is unlikely to influence India’s ranking.
This is India's best FIFA ranking since 2005 when they occupied 127th spot. In the continental rankings, they remain at 23rd place.
