Bangkok: Indian athletes produced an impressive performance, bagging four gold, one silver and four bronze medals, in the first leg of the Asian Grand Prix on Tuesday.
MR Poovama won the women's 400m in 52.94 while Sajeesh Joseph came first in the men's 800m in 1:47.78.
The men's 4X400m relay team of Joseph Abraham, Jitin Paul, Shake Mortaza and MP Kunhu won gold in 3:08.00 while their women counterparts of Saraswati Chand, Debashree Majumdar, Ratandeep Kaur and Poovama bagged the gold in 3:38.76.

Indian athletes bagged four gold, one silver and four bronze medals in the first leg of the Asian Grand Prix.
India also won a silver in women's high jump (Sahana Kumari), and a bronze each in men's 4X100m relay, triple jump (by Renjith Maheswary), women's 800m (by Sinimol Pualose) and men's 800m (by Ghamanada Ram).
