New Delhi: Two minor boys were found stabbed to death in a burnt car in Glasgow late Saturday afternoon.
The UK Police is investigating a man of Indian origin in connection with the gruesome killings.
The man, Ashok Kalyanjee is the father six-year-old Paul and two-year-old Jay Ross.
Ashok, a taxi driver is in a critical condition after suffering severe burns; he was trying to set fire to the vehicle.
The boys lived with their mother Giselle Ross as the couple was divorced and Ashok had only weekend visiting rights.
After the post-mortem on the bodies, police are now treating the case as murder.
The police have said that the bodies were allegedly repeatedly stabbed before they were put in the boot of the car. They have confirmed that there was an attempt to set the car on fire.
Kalyanjee is being treated as chief suspect and is under police guard. It has been confirmed that he was trying to overcome his drinking and gambling problems.
Detectives investigating the case have not yet divulged anything but have only said that the boys suffered violent deaths.
