Indian hopes bite dust in Chennai Open

Chennai: Indian players had to bite the dust on the first day of the Chennai Open tennis tournament on Monday.

Prakash Amritraj and the Indian duo of Vishal Uppal and Ashtosh Singh lost their singles and doubles matches respectively on New Year's Day.

But Day II has a lot in store for the tennis fans. Rafael Nadal will be taking on Rainer Schuttler in his first match.

Crowd favourite Carlos Moya will also be playing his first round game on Tuesday. The Spaniard will be seen in action against Alexander Waske.

Argentine David Nalbandian will be playing his first match on Chennai soil against Kristian Pless.

Indian hope Karan Rastogi will also be featuring in the draw later on Tuesday.
