CNN-IBN

New Delhi: Sixty days, six judges and millions of votes later, the curtains are about fall on the prestigious Indian of the Year honour.

After having shortlisted six biggies from different walks of life, the jury will announce the winner of the coveted award in a glittering ceremony in the Capital on Tuesday.

Here’s a final look at the ones who have made it to the final round.

Jeev Milkha Singh (Sports): While cricket might be the religion of this country, but the man who has stormed the sporting world this year is the winner of the sports category - Jeev Milkha Singh. Living up to his father’s sporting honours, Jeev has gone from strength to strength to firmly establish India's name in the world of golf.

Indra Nooyi (Global Indian): She is the woman nominee for the coveted title. The woman for whom the Wall Street Journal once wrote, “she is one to look out for.” For Indira Nooyi, the Chairperson of Pepsico, the journey from Chennai to the headquarters of one of world’s biggest cola giant hasn’t been easy. But she has made it on her own and in the process inspired many others.

Ratan Tata (Business): Another corporate on the list who has truly made India arrive on the map of global economy is Ratan Tata - the leader of a Rs-80,000 crore company has sold India everything from salt to cars. With Global steel giant Corus now under his belt, Ratan Tata surely runs a strong chance.

Raj Kumar Hirani (Cinema): Hirani brought Gandhi back into public consciousness with Munna Bhai. The duo of Munna and Circuit not only left the cash registers ringing but also left the Indian cine-goer gasping for more. Hirani has proved himself a new-age healer with a comic twist.

Arvind Kejriwal (Public Service): He gave the India the tool to fight corruption, ensured information became a right and that transparency became a reality in the India of 21st century.

Manmohan Singh (Politics): The man who has truly given India its global face, by leading the country from strength to strength in every sphere. He transformed the Indian economy as a finance minister and proved his mettle in every aspect as the leader of the much touted next super power.
