Indian Overseas Bank, a leading public sector bank with headquarters in Chennai and branches all over India and abroad invites on-line application from Indian citizens for 551 vacancies for various Specialist Officers positions.
Registrations start from May 29, 2012 and continue up to June 12, 2012. The vacancies are in different management grades (top/senior/middle) and include risk management, cash management, integrated treasury management, media, economist and information and technology. Only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India need to apply, the bank said in its recruitment advertisement.
Candidates are required to apply through bank's website www.iob.in and no other means of application would be accepted.
Number of vacancies for top, senior and middle grades are 4, 5 and 538 respectively. Application fee for all posts is Rs 300 (Rs 50 for SC/ST/physically challenged candidates).
The eligibility-criteria of a candidate differs from post to post. Cut-Off date for eligibility criteria (educational qualification, experience, age etc) shall be computed as on May 1, 2012.
The candidates will be selected on the basis of written test or group discussion/interview. For different posts, the selection will be made through a written test followed by an interview/group discussion.
The written test may be conducted online or offline. The written examination for the post of credit-officer (500 vacancies) shall consist of an objective test for 200 marks and will be of two hours duration. The objective test will consist of sections of reasoning, English language, quantitative aptitude and professional knowledge.
The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PC will be given relaxation in marks as per existing government guidelines. The written examination will be held at the following centres and the address of the venue will be advised in the call letters: Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.
