Indian teen makes history, scales Mt Lhotse

Kathmandu: Arjun Vajpayee, the youngest Indian to conquer Mount Everest, has successfully scaled Mount Lhotse. He reached atop the 8,516m Mt Lhotse on Thursday along with two Nepalese Sherpa guides, his mother Priya Vajpayee said.

He became the youngest Indian to scale Mount Lhotse in Nepal, which is world's fourth highest peak standing at almost 28,000 feet.

Arjun, 17, is a twelfth grade student of Ryan International school at Noida. Last year Arjun became the youngest Indian to climb Everest at the age of 16.

Arjun reached the top of Everest on May 22, 2010. This latest expedition took just over a month.

He had left Delhi on April 14 and then left Kathmandu for base camp on the April 16.
