Indiana, North Carolina Democrats to vote

New Delhi: In the United States presidential race, the big question still hangs - will it be Obama or Hillary?

Opinion polls on the eve of the next round of Democratic primaries are throwing up varied results and are an indicator of the close contest Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton actually face.

A New York Times/ CBS poll released on Sunday showed Obama leading Hillary by 12 per cent.

While the latest USA Today survey says Hillary leads Obama among Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents by seven percentage points.

The survey says Obama who has been ahead of Hillary in surveys for three months has taken a hit over his former pastor Reverend Jeremiah Wright's controversial remarks.

Democrat voters in Indiana and North Carolina will start voting on Tuesday morning.

Ahead of the voting, Obama sounded very confident.

"I'm confident the Democrats will be unified in November, and we're going to attract a lot of independents and some Republicans to the idea that we're going to change the country. But right now on May 6 here in North Carolina, the question you have to ask yourself is who can best lead that Democratic Party to deliver on change?"

On the other hand, Hillary says she has solutions for the issue that the country is facing.

"I've offered specific solutions about all the issues we are facing because I want you to join with me and solve America’s problems, it's time to stop wringing our hand and start rolling up our sleeves and we can do that once we have a leader back in the white house that says you know what America there's nothing we can't do, there's no problem we can't solve if we start acting like Americans again. That's who we are, that's go do it," Hillary says.
