New Delhi: An American student of Indian origin has been found dead in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar on Monday.
The 21-year-old has been identified as Kanan Mehra, a student of Delhi University.
Mehra had reportedly not left his room in two days.
His body was found by his landlord, who had gone to check in on him. Mehra’s body had stab wounds in the neck and showed signs of severe head injury.
Mehra had been in India for a month now, studying philosophy.
His body has been sent in for a post-mortem investigation. Police are investigating the case, and have asked the MEA to get in touch with the US embassy.
