Pune: Firing was reported from Khed Shivapur toll booth near Pune late on Tuesday.
According to reports, individuals traveling in a Swift car fired at one of the attendants manning the Khed Shivapur toll booth injuring him. The people in the car were chased by the people present at the toll booth but they managed to escape firing back at them, eyewitnesses said.
Eyewitness claim that there were four people inside the car.
It is not clear what exactly led to altercation.
Police are yet to record the statement of the injured toll attendant who is in hospital. He is said to be out of danger. Police said that the car number plate has been capured by the CCTV camera, which they saud will help identify the owner of the car.
