New Delhi: Pakistan Foreign Secretary Riaz Mohammad Khan will arrive in New Delhi on Monday to hold talks with his Indian counterpart, Foreign Secretary Shiv Shankar Menon.
India called off the Foreign Secretary-level dialogue following the 7/11 Mumbai blasts. But the two sides are back on the dialogue table following the Havana meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pervez Musharraf.
In New Delhi, the two foreign secretaries are set to agree on the contours of the joint anti-terror mechanism, the highlight of the Havana meeting.
India is proposing a small group, with two to three members, to be headed by an additional secretary.
Menon will provide investigative evidence of Pakistan's involvement in the Mumbai serial blasts and the foiled terror plot in Mysore to Khan.
Also on the table is a detailed dossier of Pakistani links with all major terrorist attacks in India over the past one year.
"Terrorism is an important issue on which we will have discussion. In course of the discussions, we will find out what could be the joint consultative mechanism to deal with terrorism and sharing of information. Other things will follow after the establishment of the institution," External Affairs Minister, Pranab Mukherjee said.
The two foreign secretaries are also expected to agree on dates for talks on Sir Creek and Siachen.
Also expected are new dates for a truck service between Muzaffarabad and Srinagar meant to enhance border trade and a pact on notification in case of nuclear accidents involving a possible fallout in the other country.
