BANGALORE: The Karnataka Joint Action Committee of Backward Classes, Dalits and Minorities has urged the State Government to provide internal reservation to women belonging to backward classes (BC).
Addressing a press conference, President of the Karnataka Joint Action Committee of BC, Dalits and Minorities Krishna Nayak said, “We insist that the State Government should provide internal reservation to the backward classes in the 50 per cent reservation.
” The State Government has cancelled the reservations at Zilla and Taluk Panchayat levels, Nayak alleged and threatened to protest if their demands were not met.
