Mumbai: It's International Women's Day and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is leveraging the commercial space to address what he feels is one of the most pertinent issues of the day - people's attitude towards women. The superstar is even translating his pledge from an advertisement to real life.
Shah Rukh will now be introduced after his leading ladies in his film's opening credits. "A title change in the film might not make a difference but the thought will make you think towards your mother, wife and daughter."
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog and social media to spread awareness about a campaign against domestic violence. Amitabh wrote, "T 103 8 - I support .. #8march make the world a safer place for women. What's your promise? #ringthebell."
Out to announce nominees for a women awards show, fashionista Sonam Kapoor also did her bit by talking about women empowerment. Well that's women power for you, this women's day!
