Hyderabad: After two back-to-back losses, Sunrisers Hyderabad face another difficult task when they take on the in-form Mumbai Indians in game 43 of IPL 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. With two teams battling for the play-off spot expect it to be a thriller of a contest. Mumbai have 12 points from nine matches, while Hyderabad are on 10 from nine games.

Batting is one of the biggest concerns for Hyderabad as their batsmen have lacked consistency so far in the tournament. They have only managed to cross 160 once and their key man Cameron White has struggled consistently and was dropped in the previous match. The allrounder Darren Sammy marked his IPL debut by scoring 60 and he might find himself promoted in the batting order.

The team, however, can take pride in their quality bowling which comprises the world's No. 1 bowler Dale Steyn, followed by Ishant Sharma, wily legspinner Amit Mishra, Sammy, Thisara Perera and Karan Sharma. Steyn has been fast and aggressive but Mishra has been the pick of the bowlers with 14 wickets and can be expected to play another crucial role against Mumbai.

After two losses, the home team face a tough task to improve their chances of making the play-offs against a well-oiled Mumbai outfit.

On the other hand, Mumbai are on a roll with stand-in captain Rohit Sharma in excellent form. His recent innings against Kings XI Punjab was one of the finest spectacles in IPL 6 by any Mumbai batsmen. Kieron Pollard and Dinesh Kartik have been in form too while opener Dwayne Smith has been a great addition in the playing XI and has provided Mumbai with decent starts in the last three matches. However, India's legend Sachin Tendulkar has failed to make most of the starts and middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu has also failed to show what he is capable of.

Mumbai's bowling department is also star-studded with the presence of Lasith Malinga, Mitchell Johnson, Harbhajan Singh and Pragyan Ojha in their ranks. Johnson has provided Mumbai with great starts and has picked up wickets consistently. The spin duo of Ojha and Harbhajan have performed consistently and have been economical as well. Local boy Dhawal Kulkarni had a great outing against RCB and will hope to continue from there.

Both sides look strong and balanced but Mumbai might have an edge over Hyderabad in this one keeping batting in mind.
