Jaipur: Rajasthan Royals should have an easy time against Delhi Daredevils in IPL 6 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Tuesday. They have registered a thrilling and important win against Pune Warriors on Sunday night where they chased down 179 off the penultimate ball.
Rajasthan have seven wins in 11 matches and one more victory against Delhi will put them at ease as far as their playoff chances are concerned. Rahul Dravid's men have every reason to be optimistic against a Delhi side which is awfully low on confidence. Out of their 11 ties so far, Delhi have lost eight and are out of playoffs contention now.
Delhi's biggest concern is their batting, with Virender Sehwag, Mahela Jayawardene and Unmukt Chand all failing to come good. David Warner is the only batsman who has been scoring consistently, but a team cannot bank on an individual to turn its fortunes around.
Rajasthan, on the other hand, are improving in every department with Dravid, Ajinkya Rahane, Shane Watson and Stuart Binny scoring at will. Their bowlers too are doing great with James Faulkner spearheading the attack and Siddharth Trivedi among the wickets more often than not. Even in terms of fielding, there is no comparison between the two sides.
Clearly, on both paper and form, Rajasthan look a far superior side and it would be nothing less than a miracle if Delhi managed to pull off their fourth win. Another thing that makes Rajasthan favourites is the fact that they are playing at home where they are unbeaten for the past six games.
