IPL Auction 2014: Kings XI Punjab sign Virender Sehwag for 3.2 crore, buy 10 players on Day 1

A total of 216 players went under the hammer on day one, but only 70 were sold with Virender Sehwag ending up as the surprised earner, bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs. 3.2 crore.

Kings XI Punjab, who retained only two players before the auction, bought 10 players on day one. Delhi Daredevils bought the maximum (13) players followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (11). Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders (8 each), Royal Challengers Bangalore (9), Rajasthan Royals (6), Mumbai Indians (5).
