IPL: Meiyappan, Vindoo will be interrogated face-to-face, says police

Mumbai: Mumbai Police on Saturday said that BCCI chief N Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan and arrested Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh will be interrogated face-to-face in connection with the IPL spot-fixing and betting scandal.

Mumbai Police Joint CP (Crime) Himanshu Roy while addressing a press conference said that Gurunath Meiyappan was produced in court earlier in the day and the police obtained his custody upto May 29. "This is important for investigation as we need to interrogate him to take the investigation forward."

The Mumbai Police will take samples of Meiyappan. Roy said that the police needs to recover more items from him which will help in investigation.
