New Delhi: The Delhi Police teams have fanned out across Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata, keeping a close watch on some players and bookies in the IPL spot-fixing case. Sources in the Delhi Police say they still have four IPL players under surveillance. They are still looking for evidence and a major breakthrough to go ahead and arrest these people.
The Delhi Police teams are camping in Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad following the movements of certain players and tracking their phones. They are also following the movements of certain bookies. There could be more bookies arrested in the next few days.
The police are also strengthening their case against arrested cricketers S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan and the other fixers. The total number of people in the custody of the Delhi Police is 19.
They are trying to find out who cleaned up Sreesanth's room after the arrest. They feel someone has tried to clear the evidence.
They are also tracking the money trail as well as the Dubai connection. Pieces of evidence are being put together but the focus is arresting the remaining four players.
