New Delhi: The security cover for Britain's Princes William and Harry has allegedly been stepped up over fears that Irish Republican Army (IRA) terrorists are plotting to kill them.
Scotland Yard fears that the Princes, who are officers in the British Army, are prize targets for the IRA.
The number of protection officers guarding the Princes on each shift has been increased, the Sunday Express has reported. The number of royalty protection officers has been increased from two to three and they are being reinforced by a back-up team of two, according to security sources.
The threat level too has been upgraded following the murders of two soldiers and a police officer in Northern Ireland.
