Madhya Pradesh: Witnesses after witnesses are turning hostile in the H S Sabharwal murder case and it's not difficult to understand why when one sees Govind Khushwaha hugging Ujjian BJP corporator Shivendra Tiwari.

Khushwaha is an eyewitness to the murder and the accused are all ABVP activists - BJP's student wing.

Khushwaha turned hostile in court, denying the role of the ABVP leaders in the murder, taking the count of hostile witnesses up to five. Each of the witness has been accompanies to court by a crowd of ABVP and BJP activists.

Says Naval Kishore, a witness who turned hostile," I have not seen anything. I don't know what happened between the professors and the ABVP leaders."

More than 5,000 people - including senior college professors - were present when Professor Sabharwal was beaten to death allegedly by ABVP activists.

Despite this, the CID had a tough time gathering witnesses and finally managed to convince Komal Singh Sengar, a college peon and four others to be main witnesses.

However, not one senior faculty member has come forward to identify the accused. Now as the witnesses turn hostile, the Sabharwal family feels that justice can be done only if the case is transferred outside Ujjain.

Says professor Sabharwal's widow, Prem Kaur, "We are now demanding that the case be transferred outside Ujjain. We hope that it gets transferred to Delhi."

Under the present circumstances, the Sabharwal family's demand to transfer the case out of Ujjain are more than valid.
