New Delhi: Making a comeback is next to impossible in the Hindi film industry, especially for heroines. However, there are actresses who carefully plan their every move to recapture the hearts of their fans. Preity Zinta is returning to films after four years with director Prem Raj's 'Ishkq In Paris'.
Technically, Preity hasn't done any film as lead since 'Heroes' in 2008. But, this time she is determined to leave a mark on the audience's mind. The actress says, "Shooting this film was not easy. It was a risk. But it was an incredible experience because I was involved in it since the inception. There was so much work on the sets because I was producing it also. I had to take care of every aspect besides my job as a scriptwriter and lead actress".
'Ishkq In Paris' also stars Rhehan Malliek and Isabelle Adjani. Produced under the banner of PZNZ Media, 'Ishkq In Paris' faced a lot of difficulties from the very beginning. Prem Raj had to fight a battle with cancer while the film was under production, "No one from Bollywood was there by my side as I don't know much people here. I am close to Preity and Salman. They both know everything about my life. They are my genuine friends."
Preity Zinta is known for her fighting spirit and thus her fans would be hoping for a good show from the actress.
He is thankful to Salman Khan and Preity Zinta to stand by his side in the moments of crisis, "He is a genuine guy, he is not fake. When I was going through tough times he was there with me. I don't call him every 10-15 days as he is busy. I know if I need him he will be there. I want him to be happy and successful."
Salman is also making a special appearance in the film. "I love Salman for being part of my first film as a producer. First experiences are always the most memorable and special and he has rocked the movie for me by looking so handsome and super hot," Preity said in a statement.
In the film, Preity plays a half-Indian, half-French girl who falls in love in Paris, one of the most expensive cities in the world.
She said "we have added something or the other from everybody's life because I think somewhere art imitates life".
"Instead of taking from south Indian movies, English movies or European movies, we have been very true to ourselves," Preity added.
There was a special reason why Paris was chosen as the city in focus.
"Paris is a city known for two things - fashion and romance. So, to be fashionably in love, there is no other place to be in, but Paris," said Preity.
