New Delhi: It will take a miracle to deny Russia's Yelena Isinbayeva the pole vault gold at Beijing. She broke her own world record, clearing 5.04 metres at the Super Grand Prix meeting in Monaco on Tuesday.
The Olympic and world champion bettered her previous world record of 5.03 metres, set in Rome on July 11.
The mark cements her standing as the firm favourite for gold at the Olympics next month.
