New Delhi: The Middle East has been rocked with more violence as Israeli forces entered the city of Nablus, and took into custody, the Palestinian Education Minister, Naser al-Shaer.
Israel has been mounting air strikes daily in the Gaza Strip in response to the rocket attacks by militants.
The latest Israeli air strike destroyed a Hamas building along with several others, leaving at least two injured.
They raided the West Bank and took around 30 Palestinians for questioning, most of whom were Hamas members.
The air strike was near the Gaza residence of Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas on Friday, but Israel insisted he was not the target.
''Haniyeh's home definitely was not the target. There was an air strike on a structure used by the Hamas terrorist organisation in Shati refugee camp,'' an Israeli army spokeswoman was quoted by news agency Reuters as saying.
Residents said a missile hit a caravan used by Hamas men guarding a street leading to Haniyeh's home in Gaza, wounding one person.
Israeli officials have in the past publicly put Haniyeh on notice he and other Hamas political leaders could be attacked if cross-border rocket attacks continue.
