She is known for standing up for her rights and speaking her mind. On a Women’s Day Special show, actor Preity Zinta says women are not as ignored as perceived.
“I don’t think it's clichéd to celebrate Women's Day. It's not clichéd to celebrate Holi and Diwali or any other festival. It's a day dedicated to women. It's fantastic at least there's one day when people will talk of issues that concern women. They would actually say, 'Oh! today is Women's Day, at least let's bring these things to forefront’. But yes, I don’t think women are that ignored. I think they are just not that empowered,” she said.
