Everyone was looking forward to the Gods of Rock who painted Bangalore purple with Rock band Deep Purple's concert on December 17.

The band brought with it a unique genre of rock and helped the frenzy reach fever pitch at the Cathedral School in Bangalore, the only place in Asia where they will perform this year.

"Bangalore chose us! No, seriously, it is the place that chose us, I love performing in India, it is such a beautiful place with so much spirituality," said Deep Purple’s guitarist, Steve Morse.

Tickets were priced at Rs 1,200 and are available at all Planet M outlets in Bangalore. After a full five years, Bangaloreans could head-bang and rock to the beats of Woman from Tokyo.
