Karachi: In good news for Pakistan's Bollywood fans, legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra's highly-anticipated last movie, 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan,' is expected to be screened in Pakistan, after days of uncertainty over whether it would be released here. The Pakistani and Indian media had earlier reported that the film might not see the light of the day in Pakistan as it deals with the subject of Shah Rukh Khan playing an army officer in Kashmir.
"They were fears that the movie might again portray Pakistan in a negative manner like in 'Agent Vinod' and 'Ek Tha Tiger' but things are looking bright now regarding the release of JTHJ," Amjad Rasheed, Chairman of IMGC Global Entertainment, the local distributors of the film said.
In recent months 'Agent Vinod' and 'Ek Tha Tiger' were not released in Pakistan after being seen as against national institutions. Rasheed, however, said that Yash Chopra's final project will be screened in Pakistan.

\'Agent Vinod\' and \'Ek Tha Tiger\' were not released in Pakistan after being seen as against national institutions.
"Yash Raj Films have assured us that the plot of the film will not hurt Pakistani sentiments. The film is coming to Pakistan and is in the process of being imported," he said.
"The film has received one NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the ministry of regulations and services and is now awaiting another from the ministry of commerce," said Rasheed.
"After this, it will be all set to arrive in Pakistan. Upon its arrival, which would be sometime next week, the film will be submitted to the censor board for reviewing," he added excitedly.
Sources said that Rasheed had gone to attend Yash Chopra's funeral where he met Aditya Chopra and was told the film was not against Pakistan. "I met Aditya Chopra on his father's funeral and he assured me that the film is not against Pakistan or its security agencies and it does not have any negative religious
connotations. It has a positive vibe overall and I am glad that one of the most awaited films of the year is finally releasing in Pakistan," said Rasheed.
