Jagan's mother sits on dharna, says son is innocent

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy's mother Vijayamma said on Sunday that her son's arrest was nothing but a political conspiracy and accused the Congress of trying to destroy her family.

An emotionally-choked Vijayamma sat on a dharna outside the CBI office in Hyderabad as soon as the news of her son's arrest started pouring in.

She said, "This is a political conspiracy. My son has done nothing wrong. The people will decide who is right and who is wrong. Everybody in the Congress, starting from Sonia Gandhi to the Andhra Pradesh chief minister is trying to destroy my family."

Vijayamma said that everybody in the Congress, \'starting from Sonia Gandhi to the AP CM\', was trying to destroy her family.

"It is because of my husband that they came to power. What kind of justice is this?" she asked.

"People will not tolerate injustice. They will teach the Congress a lesson and all others involved in the next election."
