Jagat has a 'criminal' as his guest

New Delhi: Jaipur Police on Friday arrested one person from MLA Jagat Singh's residence in Jaipur.

Mehram Chaudhary, who is an accused in a murder case, had taken shelter at Jagat Singh's residence in the Jyoti Nagar area of Jaipur.

Chaudhary is allegedly a close confidant of Jagat Singh. The police had a tough time arresting him and three police teams had to be deployed to Jagat Singh's residence.

Chaudhary is a prime accused in a murder case in Nagor district of Rajasthan. He was taking refuge at Jagat Singh's house in Jaipur when the police team reached there.

The police finally made the arrest, but only after an an altercation between police officers and the people present at Jagat Singh's residence.

Jagat Singh was expelled from the primary membership of the Congress on charges of "anti-party activities" on September 5.
