Jaggu Bhai, Goa lead South releases

Chennai: Even as big shots take the limelight in Bollywood this Friday, down south big Tamil release of the week is Jaggu Bhai which hit headlines after it was leaked onto the internet much before its release.

Starring Sarath Kumar and Shriya Saran as father and daughter, the film directed by KS Ravikumar was originally narrated to superstar Rajinikanth. However, at the end, it went on to star Sarath Kumar. In this action drama, Shriya who plays a spoiltbrat is something to watch out for.

Also on the list of new releases this week is Soundarya Rajinikanth's debut production Goa. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, this is a film for those who love fun. It's a romantic comedy where three young villagers who travel to Goa seeking fun and adventure but end up discovering a new world. The film also features actress Sneha in a never seen before glamourous role.

Tamizh Padam produced by Union Minister Alagiri's son, Dayanithi Alagiri is being touted as a spoof of Tamil films. It promises to be a heady mix of typical Tamil blockbusters with a bit of everything from action and punch to dialogues and romance all with a humourous take. The film stars Radio Jockey turned actor Shiva.

Kathai and Dhairiyam featuring debutante actors are also on the list of Friday releases this week.
