Jaipur blast: 2 students held for questioning

New Delhi: Two medical students have been held for questioning on Monday in connection with the Jaipur blast case.

Out of the two medical students, one belongs to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.

This comes a day after the police detained three people in Baran district in connection with the blasts.

Police suspect a SIMI connection and are questioning the suspects on the same.

After the Gujarat police claimed to have cracked the Ahmedabad serial blast case, the Rajasthan police on Sunday said that they detained three persons, including two SIMI activists, for questioning in connection with the Jaipur explosions in May.

Riaz and Vasim Kabadi from Talabpara area and Abid Bhai Kapdewala from Shoepurian Masjid area were detained by the police in Baran, about 100 kms from Kota, on Saturday evening, a police officer said.

All the have been taken to Jaipur for further investigation, he added.

A large crowd assembled in front of the Baran Kotwali after the news about the detention of the three persons spread. However, the crowd was dispersed after being told that the suspects had been taken to the state capital.
