New Delhi: A Muslim cleric of the Jama Masjid in Bharatpur has been detained for interrogation in connection with the Jaipur serial blasts that killed 66 people, police said on Monday.
Mohamaad Ilias, the Imam of the Jama Masjid, was detained on Friday and has been taken to Jaipur for further investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Circle Officer (City) Ratan Lal Bhargava said.
He was detained two days ago and a computer, a mobile phone and diaries have been seized from his possession.
Police also raided his premises and seized his wife's mobile phone as well as the madrassa computer.
