Jaipur: Man arrested for attempting to rape 2-year-old girl

Jaipur: A 50-year-old man was on Saturday arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a two-and a half-year old girl, police said.

"The accused, Chotu Harijan, was caught by women present in the house when he was trying to rape the two-and-a half year old girl," ACP (Sanganer) Rajesh Meel said.

The accused was staying in the house in Pratap Nagar locality from Friday night and was in an inebriated state when he attempted to rape the infant, who is also his distant relative, this morning, he said.
