New Delhi: The Delhi Police has filed the first chargesheet against private detective Anurag Singh and others in the Arun Jaitley call records case. This for illegally attempting to take out call records of Jaitley's and other BJP leaders.
The charges have been filed against four people under sections of cheating, criminal conspiracy, forgery and also the IT Act. However, even after two months of investigations, the police have failed to establish the motive fully.
Anurag Singh and his aides had been taking out call records of top BJP leaders over the past six to eight months. Three private detectives and one police constable have been arrested so far. Anurag Singh was earlier involved in tracking the call records of former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.
