Jalandhar school bus accident: Death toll rises to 13

Jalandhar: The death toll in the Jalandhar school bus accident rose to 13 on Monday evening. The school bus had a head-on collision with a truck early in the morning, following which casualties were reported.

Reports said that the driver of the school bus had died after the accident. At least 11 others who were reportedly injured were taken to the Jalandhar Civil Hospital.

There were at least 35 children in the bus who were on their way to their school. The police are trying to ascertain the cause of the head-on collision.

An FIR has been registered against the truck driver. The police said that all the children were under the age of 12.
