Jammu: 8-year-old girl brutally thrashed by teacher for not joining his private academy

Jammu: In a shocking case of corporal punishment, an 8-year-old girl was brutally thrashed by a teacher for not leaving her government school to join his private academy.

The fourth standard girl from Rajouri district in Jammu received multiple fractures on her right hand and now has to undergo surgery. An FIR has been filed against the teacher, Dheeraj Kumar.

Rajouri's Chief Education Officer assured the victim's family a departmental inquiry against the accused teacher. A preliminary report will be submitted in two days.
